The Great Adventure
Sending deepest condolences to Meg and your family at this time. Meg, you and JT were the only couple who were willing to befriend this single person “with cooties” in our Sunday school class at Village 7. JT volunteered to come over and install my DVD player one night. While the installation didn’t go so smoothly, it was fun getting to know you both. And to find out that JT’s dad attended the same trade school oh so many years ago in Chicago that my dad did! After that JT led our small group study on Sonship. This study coincided with a very difficult time in my life, but when I was scheduled for surgery in Dec 2005, you and JT came to my aid with getting me to the hospital (at an very early hour). JT stayed and hung out with me before the surgery. My friend also came to pray with me before the procedure, and one of my greatest memories will be the 3 of us singing Steven Curtis Chapman’s “The Great Adventure” in pre-op. JT certainly lived that song every day! The study ran through May or June, the Streets left, and I lost touch with you. So many times I wanted to call to just say “hi” but didn’t. For any who may read this, please, if you are moved to call someone to just say “hi,” please find a way to do it. JT was a superstar for Jesus, and he will be greatly missed.
