Tributes and Condolences

Cadet Wolter, as I knew him, was the coolest guy I ever met as a smack. He knew how to lead, without driving you into the ground. I will never forget him, all these years past. I can remember him to this instant, playing those ridiculous knowledge games we all engaged in. He did it with class and with leadership. He was a great man, even then, when he was only on the verge of manhood. We were all just a bunch of kids, but expected to get something else going, and he was the one to kick it off. I will never forget this guy, and I know all the other doolies in my summer BCT will never forget him. If you are his relative, let me tell you this guy had it all going. I looked at all the family pictures, and it broke my heart. Remember this- a lot of us will never forget this guy, and he added something to all of our lives that we will in turn add to somebody elses' life. That is how someone lives forever. This guy will live forever. I am so sorry it turned this way. All I can say is, Cadet Wolter was what all of us wanted to be. The coolest and nicest guy ever. You didn't have to be mean to be a leader. You just had to lead, and he knew how to pull that one off way better than most of the officers!
